This is what good government looks like...

https://signalpress.blogspot.com/2021/11/the-biden-administration-and-democratic.html

I'm going to keep saying it. Having a seasoned, experienced former Senator and Vice President in the White House means things will get done, and are getting done, that we haven't seen in four years. And I will keep saying it, in the face of media reports that try to make positives negatives and can't resist trying to control the narrative. How do you turn a roaring economy, surging stock market, dropping unemployment and the general look and feel of economic prosperity, along with outstanding management of a viral pandemic, regaining the confidence of the Democratic world, and actually having plans in place to deal with problems into some kind of "disarray" and confusion?

If you blog or comment on them, get out there and put something up as often as you can.

How about some rallies? Get everyone out there, Joe and Jill, Kamala and Doug, Barack and Michelle, and by all means Bernie and Jane. Start on the mall in DC, where half a million can turn out, and get to all the major cities. Let's have some fun owning conservatives.

We are busy doing the real behind the scene works and none of our representatives are all that interested in selling or promoting what we want to do and what we have done. Whereas, the other side is all about selling the fake goods.

2. So, we know this but...

...is anyone going to make a change or are we just going to let the whole thing go and whine about mid-terms always being favorable to the party not in power, except for the 2018 blue wave?

Even if we were expecting to lose seats, there is a huge difference from losing 10 seats and 40+ seats.

And while people seem to be much more confident with the senate, I am not sure where that confidence comes from. We were expected to win 53-55 seats in the senate in 2020 and we ended up with a 50-50 senate after winning 2 surprising seats in GA. We didn't get any of the Maine, NC and a few other states that we were expected to win in 2020 when it was a good year for us. So it's not hard to imagine doing badly with senate in an off year that's bad for us.

I am not trying to say we are doomed but that we need to switch gear and hopefully keep as many seats as we can.

The more the orange menace sounds like he's running again, the better Democrats' chances get. But aside from that, shouldn't this party have the wherewithal to control its own messaging and get it where it needs to go?

6. That's why you hire a marketing department.

We're 40+ years behind the 8-ball on messaging & we need a marketing department, stat!

8. Maybe. But I recall lots of criticism for Hillary's highly structured focus group fake response

from lots of people. I am not sure a marketing department is good enough. We need our representatives to stay on message and have a common theme with our responses and what we say, rather than promoting only things they like themselves.

For instance, I am not saying they don't say what their interest and concerns are. But they should start by saying BBB or infrastructure bill is good. Then they can branch out into local or specific issues they are concerned about that the bills helped. But instead, we have our representatives only criticizing about how our bills doesn't do enough on their concerns.

9. We constantly hear about Republicans complaining about their party behind the scenes

but they NEVER, EVER say anything negative in public. Never.

I want to see the Democratic party not only hold their current majorities, but expand them, and the way the senate races especially shake out, that's a real possibility.

Then again, maybe this country is past wanting a democratic government. That's the way we're headed, especially if we just accept the status quo, throw up our hands and hope that we can do better the next time, though I don't think there will be one of those if the GOP gets control.
