California congressman's wife died after taking herbal supplement, autopsy shows

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/california-congressman-s-wife-died-after-taking-herbal-supplement-autopsy-shows/ar-AA115MzZ

The wife of a northern California congressman died last year after ingesting an herbal remedy often used to treat health issues including diabetes, high cholesterol and obesity.

Lori McClintock died from dehydration due to gastroenteritis, which was triggered by “adverse effects of white mulberry leaf ingestion,” according to an autopsy obtained by the Sacramento Bee on Wednesday. McClintock, a mother-of-two who worked in real estate, complained of “an upset stomach” prior to her death, it noted.

“An autopsy with toxicology testing confirmed the cause of death. There were no suspicious circumstances found,” the report reads. “Based on the circumstances and cause of death, the manner will be listed as an accident.”

Ancient, Asian, Natural - all code words to give them gravitas. All codes words used by Dr. Oz and thousands just like him.

Add a lack of critical thinking skills, skepticism around healthcare, costs associated with healthcare, and a low self image and you'll get headlines like this.
