sharing a message from Ohio's Sen. Sherrod Brown

It’s hard to see clearly when you have mud in your eyes. That’s how the right-wing special interests are planning to win elections this year.

Take the $1.1 million attack that Crossroads GPS is currently running in Ohio. It’s a nasty bucket of mud, and they’re flinging it all across the state. Karl Rove and his special interest pals think that enough of these attacks will prevent Ohio voters from seeing the truth about the choice they face this November -- and that will win this seat for the far right.

If we're going to break through the mud this year with the truth, we'll need everyone to do their part. All I’m asking is that you pitch in $12 or more to fight against the $12 million the other side has already spent against us. Click here to contribute.

The special interests need all this mud to obscure the truth about what we’re fighting for in this election.

Progressives like you and me want to take on big oil companies and shady Wall Street bankers. We want to build an economy that works for the middle class. We want to make sure the voices of working people are heard in our government. And the special interests know that they can’t beat that message in a fair fight.

Ohioans are smart, but Karl Rove and his allies are very good at smoke and mirrors. We have to be ready to fight back with the truth. That’s how we’ll win the debate over the big issues. That’s how we’ll win this election. That’s how we’ll stop them from bullying progressives.
