Lieberman rips Romney and Obama for high negativity in the campaign

Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman slammed the Obama and Romney campaigns Tuesday for engaging in what he considers record-high negativity during this year’s presidential race.

Mr. Lieberman, an independent former Democrat, made his comments on the same day that a pro-Obama political action committee debuted an ad that features a former steelworker linking Bain Capital’s closure of his plant to his wife’s death from cancer.

The senator, who will retire at the end of this year, challenged both candidates to shift their focus toward laying out their own plans for the country and argued that increasing divisiveness in the campaign is only working to shake voter’s confidence in their nation and its government.

“It’s exactly the opposite of what our country needs,” he said on CNN’s “Starting Point.” “Part of what our country needs now is a healthy dose of vision of what both of these candidates will do if they get elected, instead of trying to scare us into how terrible the other one [is].”

Lieberman and the rest of the Republicans want to make everything "civil" whenever the Democrats start to fight back. Give it to them with all you have; if they can do or say whatever they want, truth or lie, then the Democrats should be able to do the same thing. They thought they had a monopoly on balls all this time..ha,ha

Lieberman and the republicans are very used to the Democrats rolling over like dogs so naturally they get their titties in a twist when someone actually stands up to them.

Democrats are going to have to fight like crazed dogs to hang on to the Senate and the White House. The tone is set, it's negative, and any Democrat who doesn't embrace that and fight like a crazed dog is a pussy and we don't need them.

chrissakes. Just go, Joe, south to D.C. where you and your wife can enjoy the benefits of being "talking heads" on tv, which is what you have been hungering for after 2004, when you dropped any idea of being for the PEOPLE of CT.

If I never see you again, Joe Lieberman, it will be too soon!
