By multiple measures, Melania Trump’s public standing continues to plummet. According to YouGov polling, her popularity stands at just 36 percent, with more Americans voicing their dislike for her than showing support — 43 percent disapproved while only 18 percent described their views as neutral.

It reminds me of the wives of male preachers. They have a lot of unpaid labor to do, and it is kind of rare for them not to do it. I've only known one minister's wife who had a career and she did both jobs - preacher's wife and professional career.

Also makes me wonder what a Second Gentleman does for no pay. If we ever had a First Gentleman, what would he do for no pay?

It begs the question about whether this unpaid labor is interesting and fun. I bet it is usually not. Also, what if the person who was not elected to that position do if they had no experience or aptitude for it?

It is strange to me (and maybe only to me) that any woman would hitch her coattails to a politician and then not pursue her own career while he is in office.

One more point, if a young woman accept a proposal of marriage from a man who says he will run for president, she has not agreed to becoming first lady in that eventuality. Lots of people wish they were president, few make it so.

I think Melania agrees with and supports whatever the disgusting husband of hers says and does. She may be even more egregious in her views.
