Best letter to the editor I've ever seen.

GOP the greatest threat to the U.S.

The the editor.
What have the Republicans done for the middle class? Anyone?
If you are middle class and vote Republican, you must be ignorant or racist.
The Republican party is a domestic terrorist organization. Republicans are America's # 1 threat.
Their policies destroyed our economy and they obstruct all attempts to fix the mess they've created. They hold the country hostage defending tax cuts for the rich. They depend on low-information ,middle class voters who are brainwashed by Fox News,Rush Limbaugh and Joe Mcquaid to vote for their agenda that only benefits the rich and corporate America.
Republicans defend corporate welfare but attack programs for the rest of us who aren't rich. The only thing that tax cuts for the rich do is make rich people richer.
If Republicans take power, they will destroy the middle class. Republicans only care about rich people, not you. Stupid Michelle Bach man is right about one thing; There will be a revolution in this country,it will be against the traitors of the Republican party (should they be elected)when middle class people that voted Republican finally realize that they have been lied to.America has no use for the Republican party.

that they are either ignorant or racist is not way to win them over from the dark side.

Remember that adage ... you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

It still applies.

While this letter may be factual overall, it's really put forth in a "name calling" manner.

If logic and facts don't work, why would name calling?

For that type of voter our only true hope is to educate their children with true critical thinking skills.

Here in Texas, they're trying to ban "Critical Thinking" from the curriculum. I kid you not. They say it undermines parental authority. Yep, things are bad here.

...no one here is throwing out anything, We're pissed! For over 50 years now, since the mc carthy-goldwater debacle, We have tried reason & logic, We have tried facts, We have tried fairness, We have tried being courteous, kind, & respectful while playing by the rules, allowing all voices of dissent a place at the table. We still do. By now, after all you've seen, heard and experienced from today's republican, and you still don't get it, please don't blame Us for a bit of venting...We've earned it.

and completely understand it.

However, I'm still going to call this LTTE what it is. Name calling and a rant.

It doesn't really do anything for our cause. In the end this type of letter only pushes the very people we try to reach away. They're excuse, as stupid as it is, always ends up being "see, they do it too."

Sure it's a righteous and true rant, but that's all it is. It's certainly doesn't belong in the "best of" category as far as LTTE's go.

Anybody who is middle class or poor, and STILL votes for rethugs is absolutely either ignorant or racist.

There's no way around that fact.

GREAT post! And sometimes, I tellya, I just find myself beyond caring about whether we piss these people off by pointing out their sheer, willful IGNORANCE. I mean, how long do we have to coddle these people who insist on voting against their best interests? Because they believe that if they just keep believing, one day that trickle-down will indeed, finally, actually trickle down on them and they'll be as rich as wrongney! Like magic! Just KEEP BELIEVING IN THE GOP!

Some of us here call it Dumbfuckistan.

I know. I know. Not nice. And all that. And yeah, there's truth in that scolding. But being nice, being patient, being helpful, being instructive, being kind, all that good stuff - doesn't help.

Sigh...

Sometimes it gets so frustrating that all you can do is say "fuck 'em."
