Some preacher telling you you're a worthless POS who is doomed from birth due to a couple of fruit munching idiots in a fairy tale, that's emotional abuse.

And yet it's socially accepted as a proper way to raise children. By scaring them to death with fear of an imaginary cruel god.

If the kids have any sense, they will leave when they grow up, because the parents have nothing to offer but negativity. These are the kind of people that insist you have to break a child's will, because a wilful, independent child is sinful.

Catholic Social Services, Lutheran Social Services, Jewish Social Services etc some of which also include abusers and their "support" network.
