"Daddy, I have a question..."

My 8 year old and I were on a walk this BEAUTIFUL warm day.

A discussion of what 24/7 means to 7-11 stores to, I mentioned, blue laws and how nothing used to be open on Sunday.

As I was trying to start explaining what blue laws were her hand shot up, "Daddy, I have a question..."

Me: "Let me finish and I might answer your question."

I said that blue laws were based on a "day of rest" and that it was assumed that people went to church and then would cook a big Sunday dinner.

"I still have a question."
"Okay"
"Is that what you would call a superstition?"

I cracked up and then said, "Well some people would say it is a superstition and some say it is their faith. That is for you to figure out."

"Okay I will"
