Mother tells of miracle daughter's milestones 10 week after she was born at legal abortion threshold
Born 16 weeks premature Emily Cressey clung to life, her tiny hand gripping her mothers as she fought to survive.
The fragile newborn is one of the youngest baby's to have been born in Scotland, surviving despite being born at 24 weeks - the legal threshold for an abortion.
But today the 10-week-old has reached another milestone, defying the medical odds.

Her weight has increased from just 1Ib 3oz to a steady 3Ib 15oz with every other feed now being from the bottle.

While you fool round in the USA the law concerning abortion changed in the UK back in 1967.

My wife had two in the 1970's.
Only references you'll occasionally see on the subject of abortion in our media here in the UK are on the subject of Northern Ireland , who have yet to get with the program , and the fact that abortion remains illegal when the sex of the child is the sole reason for the abortion - that as a general rule only affects some of the Asian immigrant population.

Someone who wants an abortion is in a very different place than someone who wants the baby and is happy for all the medical care possible to allow a very premature baby to survive.

I think it is always better for those of us who identify as "pro-choice" to get the positive message out.
