The big banks should have been nationalized, their management thrown into prison, and their culture destroyed as they were broken apart with Glass-Steagall reimposed on the regional fragments, along with restrictions on the number of states any bank can operate in.

The bust will just continue to happen again and again until these steps are taken.

Now the monsters of capitalism own everything and they are devouring it in huge chunks.
