Anyone noticed all these crazy right wing callers on Thom Hartmann?

Thom Hartmann's YouTube channel highlighted this call from Monday's show where Hartmann and a caller debated guns and illegal immigration. This caller repeated the same old RW BS "guns are the last stand against tyranny" basically. Anyone noticed that the conservatives who call the show have been pushing this guns/tyranny line? I think Thom has wasted enough time over the years trying to reason with them.

Listening to this on the radio yesterday if almost felt like Thom was losing because the guy was so aggressive. Maher would have gone right back at him and made the caller freak out and hang himself more than he already did.

I was thrilled to see Thom on a recent Colbert Nation show. Thom starts around 2:40 in on this clip:

Thom does something the chickenshit right wing corpora-propagandists like Hannity and Orally and Limbaugh don't ever ever do; He engages with "the other side" frequently and respectfully.

Thom quaintly hangs on to long forgotten principals of journalism; fairness, accuracy and presenting both sides.

Also, Thom has staff that screen calls, so a righty with a hidden agenda would have to lie to the screeners to ambush Thom with what ever the latest propaganda righty talking points are that day.

I wish MSNBC would cycle Thom regularly in their guest segments. I'm O.D.'ed on all the Ed Rendell and Krystal Ball talking heading.

,not callers, people in right-wing thinktanks, policy people or heads of right-wing organizations to talk to them about their ideas, seton motley is one that comes to mind, i felt if i heard one more jackass my head would split. i like thom but like you i think he's wasted at least enough of MY time trying reason with these dolts.
i liked thom cause he goes through alot of history and i found that intresting but then seton motley would come on and my head would start to pound. so i just stopped listening

Thom seems way too accommodating or missing the best argument- this person repeatedly inferred only Dems would be his reason to own guns or make some kind of revolt- only stronger than that. Sounds crazy desparate to me.
