"All the Shah's Men: An American Coup and the Roots of Middle East Terror" by Stephen Kinzer.
Another good book on the American coup in Guatemala in 1954 is ""Bitter Fruit: The Story of the American Coup in Guatemala" by Stephen Schlesinger and Stephen Kinzer.
