UPDATE:

Interview with Victorian Prude the woman forcibly removed from testifying in Texas
byHorace Boothroyd IIIFollow
TUE JUL 09, 2013 AT 11:54 AM PDT

(snippet)

Did they explain why you were forcibly removed?

There was no explanation. Senator Jane Nelson tried to say I was being disrespectful but how would she know? I barely got to give the complete performance review of every member on the committee. Pointing out that Sen. Donna Campbell is an ophthalmologist is not disrespectful when she asserts in a state hearing that she should be THE expert on reproductive health. What was disrespectful was the parade of anti-choice zealots and misogynists who got up for 13 hours and called women murderers, killers, promiscuous, thoughtless, and selfish. Not a peep from committee chair Nelson on those.

I know a couple of people in my tiny circle who previously were not at all activists who have risen to the challenge and been successfully getting completely nonpolitical/apathetic people fired up and going to Austin, as well as to local dem party meetings, and Planned Parenthood events. No actual woman would do the things to other women that they are doing.

Simple as that.

The only good thing coming out of this is the suicide by the Texas GOP. By making enemies of 50% of all voters, just a few men can swing the state back to where it was when I was growing up.

94. WHERE ARE THE LAWYERS. She should SUE the committee chair for misuse of law enforcement

which denied her her 1st Amendment right to speak to HER representatives. She must SUE for her right to finish her initial statement and have it entered into the Texas committee record.

Committee Chairs MUST listen to all that their constituents say about representatives' public behavior over public issues. THAT is the proper role of committee chairs.

to FINISH the officially testimony she was scheduled to give by that committee. For the public record. This committee has to be court ordered to let her finish exercising her 1st Amendment rights. It's not as if she said anything that wasn't true.

In my interaction with my former students I am finding that the young women are sounding like we did in the 60's and 70's, outraged! Republicans and pro-lifers be warned, you are unleashing a group of tigers who will march all the way to the ballot box. May the Texas legislature be outed for what they are, a group of old, worn out white guys who believe in pro-life as long as it isn't messing with putting lots of minorities to death.

She makes me so proud, her parents done good....
