2. This is just a right wing hatchet job. What he describes of Trayvon is of a typical 17 year old

boy. Zimmerman gets a pass and is Sainted! Couldn't finish watching, besides, there was no need to. Zimmy lying to the Judge to avoid having to spend his web site fundraising money and make the state pay his attorney was not mentioned. The 2 small cuts on Zimm's head look a lot worse since they were not cleaned up. They don't mention or allow Trayvon to fight for his own life. The bottom line was that Zim was the instigator/pursuer who, as a direct result of his actions, murdered Trayvon.
It must be killing them that Trayvon's parents have acted with such class and continue in the news coverage such as the "I have a Dream" speeches 50th anniversary, while thug George has been stopped carrying his gun in Tx., and his life now must be spent in fear b/c of what he looks like! The irony is thick enough to cut with a knife.

4. Yesterday I was discussing the case with a FB friend.

And the discussion was surprising because she's at least somewhat progressive and doesn't come off as being gullible to racism.

But when I told her there was a clear racial component to the case, she denied it and claimed the only issue of racism was Trayvon's apparent reference to Zimmerman as a "cracker". She then claimed Zimmerman didn't know that Trayvon was black and that Trayvon was a "troubled kid" on his way home to "concoct a drug."

This is referenced to a completely unsubstantiated rumor thrown around the conservative blogosphere (and mainly spearheaded by openly racist WND contributor Andrea Shae King who is best known for an insanely bigoted screed against First Lady Michelle Obama) that Trayvon's purchase of Skittles and Iced Tea that night was not an innocent snack run but really a nefarious plan to make a medicated drink called "Lean."

Never mind that "Lean" relies most heavily on cough syrup and that Trayvon never bothered to actually buy cough syrup that night.

Never mind that "Lean" typically doesn't involve a non-carbonated drink like the Watermelon Flavored Ice Tea that Trayvon bought but rather carbonated sodas that help dissolve the ingredients, and that usually the candy involved is not Skittles but Jolly Ranchers.

Never mind that even if this crazy shit rumor was actually true and Trayvon was heading home to make "Lean", he still was doing nothing illegal by walking through the neighborhood where he was staying and that didn't excuse George Zimmerman from profiling him as a criminal, getting out of the car armed, and chasing him (and most likely initiating a confrontation with Trayvon that ended in his death.)

People are so gullible.
