know. And wasn't he being seen at a VA hospital in August for his mental problems? I have no idea whether he was prescribed anything to help with his delusional episodes, but if he was, he may be one of those people who react badly to SSRIs. That may have been a cause of him going off like he did. But in any case, I was under the impression that he was being attended to medically, at least recently.

When he was actually in the Navy and exhibiting those milder symptoms of anger, etc., it would have been nice if someone picked up on that and forced him to see a psychiatrist, but his symptoms may have been the same as a million other guys with anger issues that don't come from mental illness; that was why he went to anger management classes instead of a psychiatrist. It also would have been nice if the police who talked to him when he was hearing voices actually took him for a 72-hour eval somewhere, but I understand that's very hard to do these days even if you are a relative of someone going off the rails. For this, I curse that fucker Reagan for basically wrecking the mental health system (such as it was).

This guy could have been helped if we had had a normal mental health system instead of a fake-ass worthless expensive piece of shit health system. He could probably have had a normal life. Those 13 victims would still be alive.
