the ginormous 'elephant' under the rug with regards to public education. Instead of addressing this issue, corporatist sociopaths like Rahm, Arne, Bill, and Michelle blame teachers for students' failures, and continue to decimate public education. Privatization of this and other social programs promises more concentration of wealth to fewer people.

I am sick, watching what our country is becoming.

like- the $55M of dedicated funds that is going to build a basketball arena at the mc cormick place convention center CAN NOT, IN ANY WAY, BE USED BY CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN USE THAN FOR NAVY PIER/MC CORMICK PLACE. (depaul will only use it about 20 days a year. the rest of the time it will be bringing in income to support the tourist and convention industry)
we have laws here. we made them for a reason.

these guys just blah blah's along with what his reader want to hear. how about some facts. he used the phrase- classrooms were supposedly empty. well, that is a know fact. he can read catalyst magazine, or listen to wbez and get those facts, but he would apparently rather feed the conspiracy theories.
