1. TLDW. If you're talking about the PreCheck program, well, it's falling on deaf ears.

I got my card a couple weeks ago and I'm not going to miss the long lines, the xrays, and the groping.

During the mandatory interview, it was clear that they had done a careful background check and I had to answer a series of questions.

While I think it's all largely unnecessary, I'm happy to have become a "Trusted Traveler"!

All I have found at the TSA site is that you need to fill one out. Can't see any links to the application itself.

7. Here's a link: I used the DHS Global Online Enrollment System, GOES.

I was qualifying for international quick clearance, Global Entry, and PreCheck is part of the package.

Enroll here: https://goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov/main/goes/index.jsp

Fill some stuff out and then you'll have an in-person interview.

I hope you live near one of the centers where they give interviews.

Very helpful. I do a good amount of flying, and waiting in the lines doesn't help an already challenging experience.

9. I know. Anyway, $85 is like what, 5 cinnabons and a cocktail at an airport?

To get out of taking my shoes off ever again, $85 is a bargain.
