I live near a Hispanic working class neighborhood, and the only bank for many blocks is a Chase. No smaller regional bank, no credit union anywhere in sight. But lots of resale/discount stores and plenty of panhandling. Yeah, we're exceptional all right - exceptional for throwing a vast percentage of the population to the wolves.
