Are There Any Good Reasons For Bar Owners Not To Support Marijuana Legalization?

While the alcohol industry fights against the legalization of marijuana, are there really any good reasons from the perspective of a bar owner, to not support the marijuana legalization movement?

I think that the binge drinkers will continue where they are, but it will open up new opportunities. Owners could make new revenue from brownies and other green stuff.

ok there are exceptions to the rule .. so those that smoke Mary Jane would do so at home as many do.

I drink I enjoy alcohol and I enjoy a smoke of the reefer it doesn't impact alcohol sales in my opinion.

My local bar allows all smokers to do so out the back and we have a motor cycle club that spend much of their time out back *nudge* but they still buy a few pints.

Alcohol is an addictive substance which has a narcotic effect in quantity. Lethal dose is between $20 and $50 worth.

MJ is a non addictive substance with no known lethal dose.

Why would a bar owner want to compete with MJ?
