Tea Party MS Senator Keynote Speaker at Confederate Meeting

Sen. Cochrans likely primary opponent!

Nov 7, 2013
Mississippi state senator Chris McDaniel was the keynote speaker at a Confederate meeting of secessionists earlier this year. This news surfaced when McDaniel announced that he's running for a seat in the U.S. Senate in the state summer primaries. While some claim that McDaniel is only taking pride in his heritage, Lissette Padilla and Mark Sovel wonder if it's appropriate for a potential U.S. Senate candidate to be at a meeting for Confederate secessionists, in this clip from the Lip News.

What in the hell does a Confederate heritage have to do with pride? This is the same mindset that drives the Sons of Confederate Veterans and all of the other assholes who fly that disgraced flag. These racist scum have absolutely nothing to be proud of, and are no better than the KKK which sprang from their hatred and bigotry, and their inability to admit overwhelming defeat.

McDaniel is married to Jill Tullos McDaniel, a former Miss Mississippi USA.[44] They have two children, Cambridge Christopher McDaniel and Chamberlain Christopher McDaniel. McDaniel is a Southern Baptist.[45]

Election. Unfortunately, living in North MS on the border of Memphis,
I don't get to choose from a ticket with a Dem. on it...They don't run here. I am moving to FL asap so I can have a choice to vote Democrat every chance I get.
