The interview line that nails it. Isn't this awful, Mr. and Mrs. America?

Have we squeezed the worker/laborer/skilled and loyal employee so far down the end of the toothpaste, that the only thing more they can offer to their more oppressed fellow workers are crumbs under the master's harsh conditions?

This isn't stretching the imagination. I and others can tell you stories, but WallMart and the other big boxes have gone beyond what is decent.

Maybe the labor market should stay out of the stores.

We're supposed to be such a "Christian" and family values nation. Black Friday and the whole Christmas season is a testament to how freakin' stupid this country has become.

Thanksgiving Day is when we're supposed to give thanks for what we have. Now, thanks to corporate greed and the materialism that goes with it, it's become a day when we instead lust for what we don't have. And we'll act like idiots, standing in line for hours in freezing weather just so we have a crack at buying "stuff" that the retailers make us think we should have. We'll run people over and engage in fighting to get that "stuff" that we think we must have.

In all of this, we never remember the real reason for the Christmas season-to celebrate the birth of Christ. I wonder how many of these goofs who act like maniacs in the stores on Black Friday and now, Thanksgiving, really understand this?

I'd like to know if the savings on Black Friday/Thanksgiving Day are real or perceived. I don't think you'll ever see the corporate media investigate this, because they're in on the scam with all of the Christmas-Black Friday-Thanksgiving Day opening advertising that they take in.

I've become increasingly disillusioned over the holiday season each year because of this.
