Give them respirators too so they don't fry their brains.
Ever wonder if the drugs in spray paint impact the art?

(10,495 posts)They should start tagging political statements and get out the vote encouragement! Don't let them take away your right to vote.
My ex wife showed me her voter registration card today. They put her married name BACK on her voter registration card even though she had changed it to her maiden name several years ago. Now she would NOT be allowed to vote because it does not match her drivers license. My ex is black and they can play the odds that people in that precinct are black. Then they must have gone through the divorce rolls or something to disenfranchise Texas women. I can think of no other way her name would changed back unless it was on purpose. I have gone to the polls with her every time since our divorce. We have not heard the last of this!

- Solvents and Aerosols (Inhalants)

... nail polish and polish remover ....
Many people have found that inhaling fumes from these products can produce a buzz similar to being drunk. The effect is produced by placing a solvent-soaked cloth in a plastic bag, holding the bag over the nose and mouth and breathing in the fumes. This is known among users as huffing. The result for most users is an immediate high that causes users to feel giddy, outgoing, and confident. They also tend to hear and see things differently. Typical objects take on strange shapes, and time and space seem to shrink and expand.
There are serious risks associated with inhaling solvents and aerosols. Some immediate side effects include sneezing, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, slurred speech, double vision, drowsiness, and muscle pain. Users can become reckless and violent and will purposefully hurt themselves or others.
Long-term use of solvents and aerosols can damage the liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, and brain. Sometimes the damage will heal once the huffing has stopped; sometimes however, it is permanent.
Other risks associated with the inhaling of solvents and aerosols include:
Suffocation users have often passed out while inhaling with a bag over their faces and died of suffocation.
Heart failure results from strenuous activity immediately after inhaling.
Depression some users do not experience a high at all. Instead, they just get depressed, often resulting in suicide attempts.

(9,865 posts)...in this video are very talented, inventive and skilled. But the graffiti guys in my neighborhood are trite: mostly bubble writing over and over and over again and often on beautiful brick walls that are a100 years old an art form itself. They're ugly and not in a good way.
Plus, the most outrageous part is that they do it to one of a kind businesses and the small business owner has to pay a fine or paint it over himself. These guys are really hurting their community and actually dispiriting. It's not cool any more.

(3,286 posts)...the graffiti has to be "good" to be acceptable. That includes placement, drawing skills and message.
More empty warehouses/spaces should be made available
Turning a good tagger into a revolutionary poster artist should be the goal here.

I bought some cans of paint that I use to cover any local graffiti with the original wall color. I got a laugh when a local store owner commented that he keeps getting freshly painted squares on the side on his building.
