Is to STOP ALLOWING a small group of Elite-class people (i.e as it is with
bankers/investors/CEOs in America nowadays),
to acquire excessive power without accountability.
When this happens,
the small group will continue to make decisions that guide and ***steer the entire society***,
based on what will benefit that small group, rather than the common good of the society as a whole.
The evidence this has happened, and is still happening in America are:
----A phony Public School "reform " movement that is little more than a dishonest transfer
of Public spending to the Private sector.
----Energy policy that pays highly-profitable oil companies tens of billions of dollars in subsidies,
directly from the government.
----Energy policy that inhibits rooftop solar because it endangers energy companies' monopoly on energy supply.
----Massive tax breaks allowed to big corporations via Cayman Islands accounts and similar shelters
the average person has no access to.
----Strong tendency to JUMP INTO Foreign War$ that profit the MIC, while hurting
our economy and well-being as a Nation.
----Inability to break up oversize banks and investment houses.
---Pressure to build the Keystone Pipeline, which benefits ONLY oil exporting companies, in the long run.
----Constant pressure to forge new international Trade Deals, which are sharply slanted in favor of investors and corporations
and AGAINST workers and environmental concerns.

There's a bunch of other examples, but I hope this is enough to give the picture.
The society's top elites/owners of means of production are behind these policies.
For them, it is about self-interest, rather than ideology.
Hell, self-interest IS their ideology.
The middle class and the poor are used to compromise, to working hard, and
"getting a decent half-loaf and going home".
We non-elites comprise "the rest of society".
The Elites get their way.
The rest of society gets the shaft.
