I hate the way cable is structured, too, but you're not likely to get news OTA that's any better in the coming years. What just happened was a broadcasting coup.

If we have a snow storm all we see is someone standing in the snow holding a microphone telling us it's snowing. Shit, All I have to do is look out the window. Normal people don't give a rat's ass about Justin Beiber.
