the RW spin machine keeps up the stereotypes and the misinformation! It keeps them angry because they are told that their own situation has been made much worse because these people are taking/stealing from them with the unwarranted "Entitlements!"
The only way to combat this is to fix the root cause of the problem. The corruption of our electoral process where the Plutocracy can buy the politicians and have the laws written for them. It corrupts our Judicial system so we end up with "Citizens United." They own the MSM and the FCC which is supposed to regulate it so we end up with media oligopolies who coordinate the messaging. They control the banks/financial system and thus control everything. We no longer have Representative government.
We need to fight for COMPLETE CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM and PUBLICLY FUNDED ELECTIONS!!! If we are able to win that fight, and what a fight it would be, we could bust up the media and banking oligopolies and our politicians would then depend on us to stay in office, not the billionaires! Our next OWS or whatever the name it will take needs to be focused on only this! The rest of the problems (symptoms of the corruption) will be dealt with by true representatives of the people, not corporate shills who sell us out in the guise of doing, "the will of the people!"

we would do well to listen closely.

Only yesterday, my son said he plans to choose science & languages in high school. I told him I though that fits him well. And also that people exist that specialize in sciene and language at the same time, and that they are called linguists. And then I referenced Chomsky as being one of the people I hold in the highest esteem in the world.
