Topless against Putin: Femen activists protest in Brussels (NSFW)

euronews (in English) ·Published on Jan 28, 2014

Activists from the women's rights group, FEMEN, have staged a topless protest against Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is in the Belgian capital for talks with EU officials. Two protesters bared all in the Schuman district of Brussels, which is home to the European institutions.

Tell that to Femen. They prefer women who look a certain way. redqueen Jan 2014 #5

Not that that's at all, in any way surprising.

The fact that there are just the two of them seems to indicate that they have as much draw as the tea party.
Kind of pathetic.
Now if they had 1000 folks out there that would be different.
The topless thing just doesn't seem to have that much impact from my point of view.
I can see it as a social comment in say, a Muslim country, but in Europe? Meh.

However, what they lack in crowd size I give them the credit they deserve simply for living by the courage of their convictions. As Dan Rather so accurately noted, most Americans will put up with anything so long as it doesn't holdup traffic.

- So yeah, they're a lot further awake than most. And they're risking Putin's wrath -- he puts people like these young women in prison, remember???
