Activists from the women's rights group, FEMEN, have staged a topless protest against Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is in the Belgian capital for talks with EU officials. Two protesters bared all in the Schuman district of Brussels, which is home to the European institutions.

Kind of pathetic.
Now if they had 1000 folks out there that would be different.
The topless thing just doesn't seem to have that much impact from my point of view.
I can see it as a social comment in say, a Muslim country, but in Europe? Meh.

(27,137 posts)However, what they lack in crowd size I give them the credit they deserve simply for living by the courage of their convictions. As Dan Rather so accurately noted, most Americans will put up with anything so long as it doesn't holdup traffic.
- So yeah, they're a lot further awake than most. And they're risking Putin's wrath -- he puts people like these young women in prison, remember???
