I think DU should raise money specifically to get these out in the public view.

(20 posts)Democrats need to get away from the notion that Federal Government Spending is "paid for". The GOP is obviously hypocritical but we should not go after them for being hypocrites. We should go after them because the notion that "government spending is out of control" or could even possibly be out of control is a fallacy.
The Federal Government is the issuer of U.S. dollars. It can always credit banks accounts with dollars to pay for anything it wants. We can always purchase anything available for sale in U.S. dollars. The notion that extending aid to our Poor, huddled masses and millions of unemployed brothers and sisters needs to "be paid for" is utter nonsense.
There is no such thing as "paying for" Federal Government spending with taxes in any real sense.
Every Democrat must read former Democratic Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Frank N. Newman's book "Freedom From National Debt". It costs like $5 at Amazon.com.
In my humble opinion, we do not have to bother with calling GOPers hypocrites. Of course they are. Better to focus on the fact that the premises of their entire political ideology are false.

(38,423 posts)Simple, easy to understand, certainly honest and truthful. So it needs to be passed on to Grimes who is running against the turtle.
and here is an important point:
There are enough unemployed in Kentucky, and this is so easy to understand, that this one could make a huge difference.
Perhaps, with zeros, only cause I am not sure everyone knows how much a trillion is. But maybe not. this in my opinion is a truly
great post that says everything that needs to be said.

(11,085 posts)They aren't mathematicians, you know. You don't have to know what a hypotenuse is to run for Congress. And if you're Republican, you can't acknowledge the word hypocrite.
Leave it up to the Republicans to legislate while insane. Especially McConnell.
