Thom Hartmann: Are Fish Facing Near Extinction?

Dr. Boris Worm, Dalhousie University joins Thom Hartmann. Billions of people around the world depend on fish for their daily source of protein - but climate change and overfishing are putting that all at risk. Could we actually see a global extinction of salt water fish species?

when studies suggest fish might die out in our oceans, will reach nearly 9.5 billion. I'd like to see the world population go back to where it was in the 1890s, about 1.5 billion. I don't want people to be forced to have fewer or no children, but I'd like to see every government on Earth exercise leadership and give continuing warnings about the fact we have to drastically reverse our numbers. I will surely die before then and at least I won't have to live in a world where the last rain forest is cleared, where the last wild species are destroyed, and where the human race drowns in its own trash and filth.
