(32,723 posts)To the point where Democrats have bought into the idea that their success should be measured by the SAME PARAMETERS as the Right.
They BRAG about how well the Stock Market is doing while the rest of the country looks like this...
As YES. That is the Capital Dome in the distance.

(32,723 posts)STARTING with the contempt they display when they use the word "Populism".
They act like we need their permission and they get off on our disappointment.

(5,106 posts)up by the media, is that he's a dimwit. If you'd ever paid attention to him before he was VP, you'd know he isn't. He was too much of a gentleman to Sarah Palin in their debate, and everyone was then surprised at how well he handled the cocky Paul Ryan. I wasn't surprised at all. Just consider his wife, Jill. Not only a gorgeous woman, but, other than Hillary, probably the best educated and successful on her own POTUS or VP wife. (You can hold any Hillary putdowns). Jill would never have married a clown. Was he getting off that train when he COMMUTED to D.C. from Delaware as a senator, keeping close to his constituents and saving the taxpayers a few bucks?

(5,106 posts)wrong way concerning Joe Biden. If so, I apologize; if not, I meant every word.

(32,723 posts)Biden is the ultimate outsider to the DC Villagers as he never joined in their schmoozing and didn't consider it a status symbol to get invited to some millionaire's party.

(9,760 posts)An annoyingly, increasingly common error.
In this case I see it as simple carelessness. However, sloppy publication standards by companies that could afford to hire proofreaders, but won't represents another example of corporate greed. They want us to see typos and grammatical errors as no big deal. I reject that ideology.

(1,168 posts)Thanks for the observation. I corrected it.
It was 2am here in Argentina and I was falling asleep and editing video at the same time.

(6,151 posts)In casual writing I don't always follow correct form, but I do try to avoid downright mistaks.
Here's something weird: I'm rather dyslexic but can look at a printed page and my gaze gravitates to typos. Go figure.

(3,190 posts)Is as old as the hills. The wealthy assume the mantle of leadership (king, dictator, politician, CEO...) and begin to take and take and provide favoritism to their fellow wealthy club members while the rest of the population suffers in squalor and poverty. As history has shown us, however, the have-nots of societies will only take it so much before they are forced to do something about it.
