They should have been giving him CPR when he was non-responsive.

throwing his ass on a stretcher - had that been me, when I worked for the service which preceded this one, he would have been checked while laying there, because that's written into the protocols when I worked doing that in that very city.

I would like to know who their source was for that, though it likely wouldn't make any difference.

It is very convenient for the medics (and perhaps the police) if he coded in the back of the ambulance, because that would, maybe, mean they don't get their asses fired for not doing their job. They rolled up on what is clearly an unconscious patient, and if they did a thorough exam, as would be expected on a person who, generally, shouldn't be unconscious (except that, after a time, everyone the police touch you find unconscious or bleeding, so perhaps it just got routine) they might have found that he wasn't breathing on the ground and started working him earlier, vs just throwing his ass on a stretcher, and on the way you reach over to get vitals and find him not breathing and with a stopped heart that you missed 4 minutes earlier, which would let their brain get a little deader.

That is not entirely clear from the video, so I can't really go there, but I don't see the equipment appearing that they have at hand.

But it is convenient.

Might not have done any good, since, from what I read, we only get hearts restarted and patients surviving about 4% of the time in real life, vs about 76% on the tv, but I digress.

Medical center. So yes, if he coded between the Warren and MMC, he was in bad shape when he was picked up. You make some good points here.

cops are turning into a bunch of paramilitary cowards. They want a job with benefits and no risk. So they kill first, ask questions later.

And they end up doing neither. Indeed, it seems like they rarely follow police protocol yet in spite of that always get exonerated.

How many unarmed Americans are killed each year at the hands of law enforcement officers, listed by year by race over the last 25 years.

Another interesting statistic would be how many rounds are fired by law enforcement officer, listed by year over the last 25 years.

What is going on is insane yet everyone in power fears the police.

After a lengthy review, the officers involved will be found to have done nothing wrong in the murder of a civilian.

Clearly she is to blame for her father's death. If she had just behaved, mom would not have slapped her.....and so on.....

Jordan Davis was to blame because he was in a car blasting rap music.

The guy in the movie theatre was to blame because he threw popcorn.

There is always someone to blame, but it is NEVER the pigs. They protect and serve.

Crank up the volume; you can hear him say this in the first couple of seconds. He said it twice.

FIVE *&%$'d pigs putting all their weight on one man.

They knew what they did; while the one coward came up and told the wife that her husband was ok, the other coward was propping him up from behind, trying to make it look like he was sitting up on his own.

Put these men in blue in prison stripes. Murderers, all of them.

"What do you do if a loved one is being killed by the police and you have a gun? Do you 'stand your ground'?"

But really, if your loved one is saying he can't breathe, you can assume the cops are in the process of killing him.

I've wondered this from time to time. If a member of my family winds up in a similar situation and I have a gun on my person (after all, I'm not the "person of interest" so one might assume the police haven't searched me), I might be strongly inclined to use it to save the life of my loved one. I really don't think I could stand there and watch that loved one being killed.

I would fully expect to wind up dead myself, but then, who could go through life knowing they stood by passively and watched while their love one was being killed?

In the past two days, this is the 3rd police state incident. As of now, I'm going to mark them "Police State" and archive them. Also, another thing I observed in the last two days of these reports, the Police apologists did not darken the thread. Maybe I've got it switched around in my feeble mind... maybe the apologists only show up when a police officer does something nice. Remember the time last year when a police officer gave a homeless man a pair of shoes?

I am so sorry this man was killed. But when I read the posting yesterday about this incident, I wondered, don't these people know how to behave. A grown woman slapping her daughter in the movie theater? Calling the police for something so stupid. Too many people now depend on the police to settle their disputes and problems, when if they acted like adults, they could settle it between them. Instead we have a tragedy.

They flexed on him so hard they killed him. The pigs all had guilty looks on their faces.

This is bad for society in general. People just won't call the cops ever or actually give serious resistance.
