they especially like frat-boy humor -- lewd, scatological, and at-the-expense-of-others humor.

this is of course a big generalization and there's plenty of overlap.

i'm just saying a comedian specializing in frat-boy humor is likely to attract a more republican audience.

in this case, though, it's not that republicans don't have a sense of humor, it's more that they can't resist any opportunity to attack, however baseless.

is simply enabling themselves to say something mean by chuckling a bit: "Just a joke! You liberals don't have a sense of humor!"

Dennis Miller is the perfect example. He was funny then hatred turning him into a miserable prick.

I don't think it has anything to do with whether the Republicans have a sense of humor or not. It has to do with WHO is committing the funny act. It's very clear that if it was a Repubican president doing the bit, it would have been downright funny to them. If it's Obama doing the bit, all hell breaks out. How come when Ford was on Saturday Night Live (I think it was Ford - it was definitely a Republican president), that was considered funny? Also, if Obama needs to focus on Benghazi 24/7 and what should have been done to prevent it, how come no cared about Bush needing to focus 24/7 on what should have been done to prevent 9/11? They still don't care!
