I have raised bearded collies and they are great at herding including humans. Beardies are great with children

If you get a chance, you should go watch a herding trial. Watching these dogs do the job that they were bred for is amazing. Different breeds in the herding group have different style of herding. Border collies act like little wolfs and stare sheep down. Bearded collies herd by bouncing and bumping into the sheep.

I said goodbye to my beardie a couple of weeks ago. One of my best memories is watching my dog herd sheep
