Faces of Common Core: real kids crushed by corporate crafted curriculum

If Democrats want to widen their margins in elections, they might consider siding with students, teachers, and parents instead of Wall Street when it comes to K-12 education policy.

Solving math problems as required by common core is too time consuming. How absurd.

Pick the three best rated educations systems in the world, study them and do what they do........

That's right, copy off the smart kids!

It's errors such as that which make me question the critics.
Still unsure what the hullabaloo is about with Common Core. Anyone have any reliable sources of referenced criticism?

is that they are only concerned with if the answer is correct. They are not familiar with the methods that the kids are being taught or they forget that is the method they themselves use because it is so ingrained. The examples most critics use are test questions where we the viewer are not sure what is being asked. Again, critics only care if the answer is correct, not if the student actually learned the concept to get the answer.
This link helped me to better understand what is being asked of the students, and it made me realize I was taught the same techniques, but forgot I was taught them. [http://huppiemama.com/common-core-action/|
Just so you know I attended K-12 from the 1978-1990 so it's not like I was educated in the new millennium.

I don't see a damn thing wrong with the possible answers. The correct answer was D. 10+4=14. Your kid is NOT LEARNING MATH if they couldn't pick that as the answer. I'm not getting the criticism.
