plastic bags at the check-out counter. We carry our own heavy plastic or canvas or other fabric bags. Thus far, most customers are happy to comply with that rule. Californians in general care about the environment. Our city council in Los Angeles just barred fracking in our city.

Yeah I believe a huge portion of people who live in California are environmental friendly.

An unhealthy disdain for the natural world
The economic disparity of the Victorian era which spawned Communism.
The current economic disparity which will spawn something else, perhaps violently.
A massive amount of un-recyclable garbage.
