Jon Stewart Tears into Sean Hannity for Cliven Bundy Hypocrisy:'Who Is on This Guy's Side?'

4:24 Stewart goes after Hannity

Jon Stewart tackled the Cliven Bundy situation (which he described as a classic "boy has cow, boy breaks law for 20 years, boy loses cow story&quot Monday night, tearing into Sean Hannity in particular for hypocrisy when it comes to "people scamming off the taxpayers." Stewart didn't understand how anyone can see Bundy as a hero when he's basically saying "the federal government is overreaching by saying it exists." Stewart also found it odd that Bundy has such a big issue with the entire federal government itself yet holds the American flag everywhere. He said, "At least have the decency to create your own damn flag!"

Stewart then took on Hannity, saying Hannity's normally "mad with rage" when people being able to pick and choose what laws to follow... except in this specific instance. And how crazy did Stewart think Hannity's gotten? "Sean Hannity has now made Glenn Beck the voice of reason."

Jon Stewart: Hannity Makes Glenn Beck 'The Voice Of Reason' On Bundy Ranch (VIDEO)
(snip)
The Fox News host's "puffery" on the Bundy ranch conflict doesn't mesh with the way he's approached other news stories about people "scammin' off the taxpayers," like the California surfer on food stamps, Stewart said.

"So apparently Sean Hannity thinks laws are served buffet-style, in that you can pick and choose the ones that you like best. The ones you don't like, you don't have to abide," he added. "Well that's not going to sit well with Fox's immigration-healthcare-law-expert-pundit … a Mr. Sean Hannity."

Hannity's position on the Bundy ranch conflict is so "out there" compared to that of other conservatives, Stewart said, he's "now made Glenn Beck the voice of reason."

Hannity actually believes the crap he's spouting.

Limbaugh, Beck, even Bill O'Reilly, it's just shtick to them. They know it's mostly bullshit, but it draws in the hicks and makes them a ton of money.

Hannity is not smart enough to understand it's all a big scam and that's why he's the one that's out front defending the charlatan Bundy.

Been saying this for years. One other I would put in Hannity's category, though, is Mark Levin. I think he believes the crap he spews as well, but perhaps not quite at Hannity's level.

When the best Political Commentary available in the USA is on the Comedy Channel,
then we have a BIG problem.

Kudos to Stewart and his team at the Daily Show.

Jon did a great job of documenting the fact that Hannity is an idiot and is a hypocrite. Hannity has one set of rules for Bundy and a different set of rules for everyone else

Hannity is an idiot and a liar/college drop out. Hannity also can not deal with legitimate criticism and so Hannity is having a hissyfit http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/sean-hannity-tears-into-jon-stewart-obama-apologist

Sean Hannity is a little miffed that Jon Stewart mocked him for supporting Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and his supporters.

The Fox News host played back Stewart's segment that sought to portray him as "hypocritical" on the Bundy Ranch standoff on his show Tuesday night, saying the comedian was "kind of obsessed" with his show.

Hannity is an idiot to get into a fight with Stewart. Hannity is a college drop out who is not very bright and he is going to get into a fight with someone who has 30 IQ points on him. O'Reilly tried this tactic and failed. This will be fun to watch
