I Think Cliven Bundy is Crazy

Republicans should have sent someone to Nevada to interview Cliven Bundy before they went all in with their support of him. It seems it is beginning to look like Bundy is actually crazy and loves being in front of cameras.

This morning Bundy went on the CNN morning show New Day. At the beginning of the interview Bundy is holding a dead calf and complaining that the calf had died because it had been separated from its mother. Shortly after the start of the interview, Bundy puts the calf down. Later, he begins to talk about Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. Bundy said King's point in telling Rosa Parks to sit on the bus was not that she should sit at the front, but that she should be able sit anywhere on the bus. Bundy then said he too wanted Parks to be able to sit anywhere on the bus and he (Bundy) wanted to sit next to her. Bundy, next took off one of his boots and told Chris Cuomo that he had taken his boot off so that he would not put his foot in his mouth with his boot on. Finally, Bundy claimed that he should be able to use words like Negro, black boy, or slave without black people being offended and if black people were offended by those words Martin Luther King had not accomplished his goal.

I've learned that it's considered earlier if before 70. It's probably a toss-up with Bundy, but from recent interviews looks like the case. I found a bit of sympathy for him in current interviews. He seems embarrassed about the way his remarks were taken. Rather than stubbornly doubling down, he's been trying to walk things back. Whatever his mental state, Hannity and Fox should be tarred and feathered. Trying to stir up rebellion against the government is treason, far different from legitimate disagreement and public protest.
