The fact that Reich is speaking to many in the 1% in this video makes a very good lecture even better. He does a great job of explaining why income inequality should concern them too, but in a diplomatic, non-confrontational kind of way. This, imho is a much better approach to opening up dialog on subject matter they may otherwise have felt uncomfortable even thinking about, let alone discussing.

The current state of affairs is already dire and becoming worse. We see it all around us. People are nearing a boiling point, and I fear what might happen if we don't see meaningful change soon. The 1% needs to know this. In stating that "this is not a zero sum game", Reich does a good job of pointing out how it is also in their best interest to not only accept, but push for change too.

He's mentioned that members of the 1% have discussed these matters with him, in his office, as they are similarly concerned.
