Related: About this forumUNRWA Christopher Gunness breaks down in tears on live TV after attack on UN school in Gaza
I have watched Christopher on Al Jazeera America every night and he pleads night after night for Israel to stop, for the world to demand that Israel stop and that children are being killed and that he can't even tell people to come to the schools for safety.
It is even more heartbreaking to see him break down. HOW Can our US Senators continue to vote for more money for Israel military to bomb and kill the people of Gaza ?? to kill the children sleeping in the schools? to kill the children as they play on the swings??
Shameful. How many more children have to die ? 6th time a school that sheltered refugees were bombed.
I wish I could post a comment on the Youtube video that Christopher could see.
"In America we hear you Christopher Gunness, we hear you. Not enough of us, but many of us. We hear you night after night begging and pleading as we watch Al Jazeera. 100's of thousands of us are begging and demanding our US Senators stop giving aid to Israel. to condemn Israel.. we are protesting, marching, and getting arrested in their offices. We will continue day after day. We will continue to hold of posters of pictures of the Palestinan people... both alive and killed. We will continue to send in pictures to our Elected officials. Hopefully some of us will shut down the docks of where Israeli cargo ships are coming into. We Hear you, WE hear you...your reports are not in vain."

Granted, it's that vomit-mop of a rightist rag, algemeiner, but hey, first thing that google gave me.
Israels Ambassador to the United Nations Ron Prosor called for the immediate suspension of a UN spokesperson on Tuesday.
The move came as Israel is in the midst of a full-flung campaign against terror group Hamas to end rocket fire from nearby Gaza.
Prosor asked for action to be taken against Chris Gunness of UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, after the spokesman encouraged reporters to interview a professor with a history of supporting terror attacks against civilians.
In a letter to Pierre Krähenbühl, UNRWAs Commissioner-General, Prosor said, Gunness, yet again abused his position by calling on reporters to interview Dr. Mads Gilbert, an outspoken proponent of terrorist attacks against civilians. In September 2001, Dr. Gilbert explicitly supported the moral right of Al-Qaeda to perpetrate the 9/11 terrorist attacks against thousands of American civilians.

HOW Can our US Senators continue to vote for more money for Israel military to bomb and kill the people of Gaza ??
And I have a friend who keeps saying "But...Hamas"
How can anyone not see what is driving Hamas?

(25,699 posts)6. hamas is just an excuse
They could throw all their weapons into the sea and commit mass suicide this very instant, and Israel would just turn to Islamic Jihad. or the AQB. Or some guy in a basement cobbling up a paint can bomb.
If Israel were after Hamas, they wouldn't be leveling entire quarters of cities.
