... grew tired of their incessant rebellions and expelled them from their own homeland (oh, the irony). To just give Palestine to the Jews - who lost independent control of the region when Julius Caesar was alive - was and remains absurd. And that is regardless of what happened during the Holocaust, which was terrible but does not justify victimizing another population already living in Palestine.

WhatEVER they suffered in the holocaust does not afford them justification for what's going on now.

these poor people. No electricity, foul water, no homes, businesses, schools, or in many cases, people. This is not about Hamas anymore. This is about a "final solution" of getting rid of a people no one seemed to care much about. Where will these people that are left go to? Israel will probably get aid from us to rebuild the area for themselves once the dust settles, literally and figuratively.
Very sad.

What else can we do, the Appartheidists won't let anyone bring any help to civilians in Gaza.

BTW, the Israeli soldier: not abducted, but killed before all that destruction to have him back.

All because of Washington's hardcore fetish with End Times/Armageddon and the far rightwing fantasy that Israel is Ground Zero for Jesus to come back and take the Bible thumpers to heaven.

Bad!

this wouldn't happen.

Just like Sadam, the theocrats calling for a Religious nation to be formed on the ashes of other Vibrant and quite populated nations were proven to hide their missiles in schools and most likely hospitals"Those allegations may be true – last week the UN agency for Palestinian refugees announced it had found 20 missiles being stored at a vacant school in Gaza. If Hamas is hiding missiles in schools, why not in hospitals?"

The footage you provided only shows Israel retaliating for Missiles raining down on it's land, Why not show pictures of the Radicals firing Missiles at Israel as well?

Although to be fair, my sympathies do rest with the Palestinian civilians.

I don't like Hamas, and think that it is very unfortunate that they were elected. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the people themselves always agreed with them. At least not all of them. Surely, there were some or perhaps even many Palestinians in Gaza who did not endorse Hamas' tactics and/or may not have even voted for them...

Think of Bush, or my own governor LePage. I did not vote for either one of them, yet am stuck with the consequences of their decisions. What if (hypothetically) their decisions resulted in a response such as what the Palestinians in Gaza are seeing? Would I, and everyone I know deserve destruction of our communities, and possibly even death for it? Bush's policies in particular were egregious. If there existed a power disproportionately stronger than us, would they be justified in causing the same level of death and destruction to civilians here in America?

Regarding the suggestion made by the other poster; there is nothing stopping that person from eventually posting his/her own OP showing the other side of this tragedy. Or even just posting something here in this thread, as you pointed out.
