(14,087 posts)Some asshole on another thread was defending Monsanto and GMO's once again. This video saved my investment in my computer from a violent outbreak.

That remark was legendary
Enjoyed this! I lived through it, and it was an exciting time. I'm afraid that younger folks don't have anything to compare it to. The British invasion, Viet Nam, Civil Rights, what an incredible decade. Thanks......

(11,045 posts)without earpieces? Astounding. These vocals are recording session quality. Then they go on the road and no one can hear them over the screaming. Gosh.

(14,691 posts)the legendary Shea Stadium concert in 1965. Saw, not heard. From the moment they stepped onto the field, the sound was of non-stop screaming (including me I'm sure). I only knew what songs they performed by reading in the newspaper the next day.
magical thyme
(14,881 posts)Yup...screaming from the moment they appeared. And so far away they were little beetles

(18,318 posts)separately from the TV camera. Watching it live in '64 on TV, the picture was good, just in B&W. But what we have now is some poor copy. It's like the experience of watching What's My Line when the guest revealed he saw Lincon's assassination; a worm-hole in reality, only reversed and repeated on a mass basis: Watch a high-grade live TV show once, and it's gone forever.
