Rick Warren Wriggling Like A Worm

Hearing Rick Warren spout opinions from 'on high' reminded me of his little Saddleback Church debate between McCain & Obama... where McCain was apparently able to hear & prepare for actual questions ahead of time, instead of isolated to make the interview fair between himself and then-Senator Obama.

So much for my opinion of Rick Warren and his telling the truth to the American people on ANY subject, be it marriage or otherwise.

and of course there is this little 'oops' moment

He said that Mormons were not Christians because they didn't hold the concept of the Trinity.

This will cause fundies to turn their back on Romney.

I'm of the view that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, at least for now, during election season.

I don't care for Rick Warren's attitudes towards lots of things, gays most notably, but I'm not going to start beating him up this week, so long as he's depressing the vote on the GOP side.

If anything, now's the time to say "Gee, that asshole is good for something!" If he pushes evangelical votes over to us, that's helpful--even if he's doing it for the 'wrong' reasons.

I don't quite get the purpose of this OP either. Seems odd.

RW needs to know that the various forms, uses, and tactics associated with Plausible Deniability are not unknown to people in general.

Large organizations, with lots of layers of operatives, habituated to "It's easier to say you're sorry than it is to get permission" practices of operations, and the near totally fungible semantic universe, endlessly churned by media propaganda-kings, make "now you see me, now you don't" digital voices (bubbles inflated by Citizens' United) THE gods of minds & hearts that Warren & the ChurchCo ilk pretend to hold sacred, while proclaiming their innocence from spreading hate.

Re what you are not, Rick: Speaking of definitions, what DOES "evangelical" mean, exactly? What kinds of unique activities do evangelicals engage in that make them specifically evangelical as opposed to just regular, non-evangelistic, Christians?

just askin . . .

Rick Warren bears watching and some examination, but this post really doesn't help. It's just old gossip.

Note that, after a flurry of interest four years ago; Warren has disappeared from Fox and CNN. Always a bad sign for a wannabe who wants to set an agenda for lowbrow patriotism. So Rick is "over."

Rick Warren lives in a part of Orange County that lost its mind several generations ago. Culturally, southern Orange County gives us a look at what a Corporate-driven Fascist America would look like. This part of the country, South to San Diego County, can't be rescued.
