This country and people in it can pound on damn bibles, go to church on Sundays, and use distraction tactics to try to divert attention to gays, abortion/birth control, etc. all they want but they are only creating distraction from THIS - the true basis of human immorality (GREED).

If anyone thinks that it isn't going to change without a massive uprising they are delusional. Massive protests will be required and if the establishment tries to enforce the oligarchs will on the people then it justifies using opposing force to counteract their immoral hoarding of money that rightfully belongs to those who create it; the Working Class.

When inequality reaches this level, you only need sufficient hopelessness for the poor to break out the guillotines. If you're gonna starve to death or die in a revolution, might as well revolt. There's a chance you'll win.

There's some rich folks who are starting to realize this and push for change. And then there's the Koch brothers. We'll see if the first group can become effective fast enough.

The 14 richest Americans received 82 billion.

They did not "make" it.

I know its common usage of that word, but it implies that they earned, deserve, or even created that wealth, which is pretty much impossible. I would bet money that none of them created the devices, drugs, or products/services that brought in the cash, either in a hands on or even in an intellectual property kinda way. They skimmed 82 billion. They took 82 billion. They did not make 82 billion.

Other than that, spot on.

according to "United for a Fair Economy", the forbes report was wrong, and 40% of the 400 have inherited substantial wealth. It also notes that only 35% of the list came from middle or lower class, as opposed to starting off upper middle or higher.

http://www.cjr.org/the_audit/made_from_scratch.php

And even when you consider that, most of them do not really "create" themselves. By and large they skim it off of the work of others. I suppose a few have probably invented something themselves, but I rather suspect even among the truly "self made" most have not actually "made" much. More often they have been lucky in positioning at the right moment.

Larry Ellison bought a Hawaiian island for $300 million.

Press reports say that Ellison is worth $46 billion.

So that purchase took far less than one half of 1% of Ellison's worth.

Let's say, for argument's sake, that the average middle class American has a net worth of $100,000 (cars, equity in home, some money in the bank, etc.). One half of 1% of that comes to $500.

So Larry Ellison's island is more or less equivalent to the average middle class American's visit to Best Buy during a TV sale.

If we cut their taxes even more, then maybe, just maybe, they'll open a factory here in America.

All kidding aside, this bullshit thinking is going to win the congress for the Republicans next month.

person to put their massive amounts of "spare money" into an investment vehicle where you can make money WITH money.)

14 people earned 6 billion dollars each, without lifting a finger. Meanwhile, assholes like GINGRICH preach about "poor children having no habits of work."

(Gingrich Translation: Poor people are poor because they're lazy and immoral. However, what if we USED these worthless human beings to defeat one of our political enemies? Use them to bust up the Janitors Unions, by paying them below minimum wage to do the same work, and thus kill off a group that usually donates money to the Democratic Party during elections? )

Now I can see why they call Gingrich the "Idea Man" of the GOP.
