It's essentially translates to:

* This election is a referendum on the President
* We think that he's done quite well, thank you

The problem of course is that most of the Democratic candidates in the races that matter do not want this to be a referendum on the President because the voters in their district/state do not agree with the second point.

Which this POTUS is trying to do.

But CANNOT with a GOP Congress that's pathologically obstructionist.

FDR and JFK had to deal with similar obstructionism - though not to the extreme that President Obama is facing.

Voter ignorance about how Congress and the Executive Branch "work" is crippling.

People so enthralled with the IDEA of a Bernie Sanders presidency need to be real about what he'd accomplish with the House and Senate in place today…and if the Senate were to shift to GOP majority.

16. You forgot one: the Uncompensated Care number
Thu Oct 9, 2014, 01:46 PM
Oct 2014

A couple of weeks ago it was revealed Obamacare has caused hospitals to have to dispense somewhere between five and six billion dollars less uncompensated care this year than last, thanks to Obamacare. This is going to improve healthcare three ways:

Way 1: the obvious - in the Reagancare regime (that sorry fuck was the one who forced hospitals to treat anyone walking through the door but refused to subsidize it) when someone couldn't afford to pay, his bill was divided among those who could. Now that more people can pay, your bill won't need to have that surcharge.

Way 2: uncompensated care is provided in the emergency department - the most expensive part of the hospital. Routine compensated care is provided in clinics.

Way 3: because the routine stuff is no longer required to go to the emergency room, the people who have emergency cases can be seen faster.

This is where the savings in medicine from Obamacare will emerge. It will take years, but it will happen.

It was a couple of days ago. I turned it off in disgust. Get back to me about incompetence when he ignores the daily briefings that we're going to be attacked, goes on vacation for a month, and then we lose four jumbo jets, two skyscrapers, and 3000 people--not counting the ones who have been getting sick and dying from trying to rescue the victims and cleaning up the debris. Or, when he parties with John McCain while a city drowns and many more hundreds of people die. Or, when he drives the economy into a near depression.

I'm so sick of these people, and the imbeciles who listen to them.

Thu Oct 9, 2014, 03:48 PM

Expansion or State approved paperwork and eligibility to get State Medicaid. In order to be covered against unleashed diseases, there has to be an infectious disease plan in place by the state with everyone covered to receive proper medical care and by the feds to cover all Americans and everybody else. In my opinion, that equals the Patient Protection of the Affordable Care Act. As I see it, Duncan's health and burial care, will be paid for by the Texas taxpayers at the expense of other Texas state programs that will be involved in a budget shift.

http://governor.state.tx.us/files/state-grants/UGMS062004.doc

GOP bait for federal money in education grants and switch state education funding back to the State General Accounting Fund. (Please feel free to research all the times Rick Perry was in on this kind of switching.)

It is a nation wide behavior of lying and thieving event for the GOP.

want to be so fucking happy about hungry people and children.

That is because a large portion of that reduction came from getting rid of jobs with the Federal government, which is one of the really few good jobs available to black folk in this racist nation.

I remember that every time some Republican starts chortling about how we need to reduce the deficit. It appears they aren't the only ones who need reminding.

How the republican party drives the political discussion, leads the "liberal media" around by its nose, and the people of this country burp and go along for the ride.

Early 90s - THE ECONOMY, THE DEFICIT, STATES RIGHTS, THE CONSTITUTION!
Mid to late 90s, when the economy was doing well and the deficit was nearly balanced - Guns and THE PRESIDENT LIED, and he used the threat of terrorism as a wag the tail scenario.
2000 to 2008 - Bush II blows up a balanced budget and allows 9-11, it is TERROR, KEEP US SAFE and DON"T CRITICIZE THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF WHEN TROOPS ARE IN THE FIELD cause he is keeping up safe and 9-11 actually was the guy who left office 9 months earlier fault.
2009, with the economy and budget on fire because of Bush II - All that don't criticize the commander in chief stuff does not exist, THE ECONOMY AND DEFICIT!
Currently - Economy improved, deficit shrinking, the mastermind of 9-11 dead - BENGHAZI and whatever bullshit strikes their minds on any given day

And, yes, people in this country are THAT stupid that the improvements against complete and absolute sedition by the republican party do not even register and whatever vile hatred they spew is what is on people's minds.
