F*** Voter Suppression

To all politicians who’ve ever tried to block access to voting:

What the hell is the matter with you people?! You need to get your head on straight.

The cornerstone of this great country is the right to vote – and you should be fighting to make sure that every citizen who can vote, does! But instead you’re creating obstacles for voters? Well, that makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it… F*** that!

People marched and fought and died for the right to vote. And you want to legislate away that sacrifice? Not on my watch!

Your power comes from our votes – it’s time you started fighting voter discrimination instead of passing laws that disenfranchise more and more people in this country.

We won’t let you keep getting away with it. So get off your a**es and do the right thing!

Love,

Lewis Black & 3,740 ACLU Supporters

KEEP STAYING HOME ON ELECTION DAY, DAMMIT!!!!!!

Because too many of us Dems DON'T VOTE.

Because too many of us Dems bicker too much between ourselves about how the perfect should supersede the merely good.

Because too many of us Dems give up before even trying to fight.

Because too many of us Dems get discouraged and start sinking into the "aw what's the use?" pit.

WE have the numbers. WE have the majority. If OUR side got off its ass, whether that's a lazy ass or a disgruntled ass or discouraged ass or rigidly uncompromising ass or apathetic ass, AND GOT OUT THERE AND VOTED.

why they won't vote all in the same breath spewing examples like this "single payer", "drones", "war-bombings", "both parties are the same", "Obama is corporate", while the RWers/Libertarians and GOPers are gleeful and rubbing their hands in delight that the government will be completely run by the Kochs and other billionaires who bought and put in place un-patriotic assholes who will divide the classes even further, put troops on the ground all over the world, civil rights taken away, et al.

12. First of all, we should get voter ID to the people who need it

Then get them to the polls on election day, whether they have ID or not. Make sure the TV cameras are there. If anyone is turned away for lack of ID, we'd like to see the clerks turn them away. Remember, the voting clerks are only doing there jobs. That's not true of the legislators who passed this shit, the governors who signed, the right wing billionaires who bribed them or the Tea Baggers "watching" the polls in order to harass anybody who looks suspiciously like a registered Democrat.
