Russell Brand suggestions not voting. That's an idiotic idea.

Also, he's Johnny Rotten. Anarchy in the UK, God Save The Queen, Pretty Vacant. He wrote some killer passionate political songs with the Sex Pistols.

I remember hearing them on the radio when I was 7 or 8, then in my teenage years realizing that they were formed by Johnny Rotten.

Seems to me he has a point. Perhaps the point is more important than the person making it

Regardless of the agenda, telling people not to vote is just another form of Voter Suppression.

John Joseph Lydon (born 31 January 1956), also known by his former stage name Johnny Rotten, is an English singer-songwriter, television presenter and painter, best known as the lead singer of punk rock band the Sex... wikipedia.org

There are a million others who would agree that RB is stating the obvious, as far as calling for revolution. Has our own history taught us nothing?
Not actually calling for revolution, but in the absence of "evolution" on the shit that's passing for democracy these days, it's quite mind boggling to say we should just carry on & obey.

The Occupy movement means nothing to DU'ers? Obvious idiots by this guy's standards.

While we are at it, why dissent, at all, which leads to a bigger question, why voice opinion here at DU, how idiotic it ALL is, really.

Hell, our country was and is based on revolution. Don't anybody quote any of the forefathers, obviously, they were a**holes.

The above is just my own obvious misguided attempt at saying, WTF!!?!!??

The Dem leaders tip toe around issues so not to be criticized by the right .. so no one is hearing what we need to hear. Hillary Clinton will be no savior. If I have to vote for her .. it will be with vomit coming up a little in my throat. Sorry. Bernie would do this country a whole lot of good .. but they'll roll out the ''communist" and ''socialist'' shit. God knows we don't need any of that. Anything that might stand in the way of building another bomb or tank.
