&feature=youtu.be* Rick Scotts Fangate pratfall continues to burn up the web, and the Florida Democratic Party is quickly out with an ad mocking it. The spot manages to both mock Scott and argue that there are more important things to talk about than who has a fan at a debate.

(14,177 posts)That's brilliant. So was Crist starting the debate without Gollum, even though he didn't state his policies on the issues.

(3,544 posts)they really need to focus on the fact that Scott continues to refuse Medicaid expansion. Christ does not. This affects some 800K people.

(3,747 posts)I don't like. But this one is surprisingly good. Classy, states things well, simple, and engaging at the end. Bravo to the ad comittee, or whoever comes up with these.
I do have one issue with it, though minor. I think the fifth amendment shouldn't be used against someone. It is a constitutionally protected right. There should be no shame in taking it--if I'm ever arrested, you can guarantee I will plead the fifth, even if I'm totally innocent. Though Rick Scott is a slimy chunk of scum that needed to plead the fifth because he's a slimy chunk of scum, I feel like we shouldn't attack him for exercising his rights. I think it makes people afraid to use it if they're ever arrested for fear of being assumed guilty because they protected themselves by pleading the fifth.
