Thats the simple reality, he continued. And I have got to ascertain if I do it, I want to do it well. If I do it, I know that I will need millions of people engaged in a real grassroots campaign to take on big money, and to fight for an agenda, a jobs program, raising the minimum wage, pay equity for women, dealing with climate change, all of these things.
And I have to ascertain what kind of support there is out there.
He certainly has my support. This may actually be our last chance to turn the tide.

(45,274 posts)against some (presumably) corporate or (unlikely) Teabagger Republican, you have less to lose by running with the left-populist choice when the alternative is a corporate Democrat. Also, perhaps the the left-popuist can actually make a better showing than the ersatz Republican.

(53,661 posts)There is only so much apathy a nation can stand before it falls completely to unbridled oligarchy. I want him in the primary as a Democrat, and he is very consistent on issues that I care about. But he sees the writing on the wall, we all do, if we can't get united without so much infighting. The GOP is at us.

(704 posts)I'd fully support either one and feel great about voting FOR someone who stands for the things I truly believe in and who will have the guts to fight for those things.
