Drug Warrior Mitch McConnell Tied To Millions In Cocaine

The Young Turks * Published on Nov 17, 2014

"Before the Ping May, a rusty cargo vessel, could disembark from the port of Santa Marta en route to the Netherlands in late August, Colombian inspectors boarded the boat and made a discovery. Hidden in the ship’s chain locker, amidst its load of coal bound for Europe, were approximately 40 kilograms, or about ninety pounds, of cocaine. A Colombian Coast Guard official told The Nation that there is an ongoing investigation.

The seizure of the narcotics shipment in the Caribbean port occurred far away from Kentucky, the state in which Senator Mitch McConnell is now facing a career-defining election. But the Republican Senate minority leader has the closest of ties to the owner of the Ping May, the vessel containing the illicit materials: the Foremost Maritime Corporation, a firm founded and owned by McConnell’s in-laws, the Chao family.

Though Foremost has played a pivotal role in McConnell’s life, bestowing the senator with most of his personal wealth and generating thousands in donations to his campaign committees, the drug bust went unnoticed in Kentucky, where every bit of McConnell-related news has generated fodder for the campaign trail."* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

He's a major dealer it would appear. I'm sure a prole can be found to hang it on. Preferably with brown-skin or even better, a Muslim (who can always double as terrorists). And who will conveniently have an exploding car accident, or die in a plane crash, or accidentally take too many pills or just kills him/herself before any trial takes place or probing questions asked.

Since he is suppose to be like everyone else when someone gets busted for drugs within a family and there business dealings, then he more than likely knew about this criminal act and should be indicted has a co-conspirator just like everyone else, when the DEA, FBI, or anyone for that matter, busts down the door in a drug raid or on the high seas everyone is investigated and I mean everyone.
This hypocrite is not above the law, so Touché Turtle lets see ya do the frog walk since he may have gotten drug money to run his campaign of deceit and deception, lets have a investigation from the DOJ shall we, to see where this goes.
I think all citizens of this country should be concerned that possible laws maybe have been broken and if he has nothing to hide he will be fine, if not, let the chips fall where they may and if true he will have to resign his position-----yeah.

If so, it was in plenty of time before the elections and plenty of time to make a bit of political campaign hay out of this story at the very minimum, I don't have cable or satellite and wondered if the major snooze channels reported on this story or if they even bothered to give this any mention at all.

Oh wait.. don't tell me. ZERO mention of this story was offered by FOX, CNN, MSNBC, et al. Am I correct? Not even the Democratic Party used it in the Kentucky Senatorial contest presumably, or else I think I would have read about it at least here on du if no where else.

Gee, I wonder why not?

Yes this was known, but not reported during the election cycle it was also mentioned in the Nation magazine a couple of months back , and the right wing main stream and the everyone else in the so called news were shoo shooing it under the table , but I do think and if I remember correctly Maddow and Hayes may have mentioned something about this, some time back, but not quite sure.

Interesting that it was delayed until just a few days before the election.

So typical of The weak-spine Nation, to delay an important story like this as long as possible, guaranteed to go unnoticed in plenty of time for enough people to take notice, verify, and be informed.

of the influx of huge amounts of drugs into this country, which is primarily directed toward minority communities, everyone that thinks know the politicians and paid off 'authorities' are the only ones with ships/boats and private planes, as in mcconnies boat, that are large enough to transports the weight needed for huge profits, probably hidden in some offshore account. This has been going on for decades and surprise is not warranted. People like this clown have their hands deeply in the cartels pockets, deeply!!!!! No one is fooled by the pretensions of people like this racist RW POS anymore. No one except those ignorant, clueless clowns that vote for people like this POS!!!!!

Talk about gossamer threads !!!

His father in law, owns a bunch of transport boats, one of which was found to have cocaine on board. Until it is proven this wasn't done by a worker, and was done instead at the behest of the father in law, with Mitch in cahoots, this is just utter crap and should not be on this site.

This is no better than one of those supermarket fiction speculation crap jobs. Utter garbage. You should all be ashamed for pushing such complete and utter crap.
