1. I saw the Anderson cooper family history

and said good at the very same moment. You don‘t have to carry the evil in your past. And laughing is a way to distance yourself. My ancestors owned a mill 150 years ago. I saw pictures of all the employees on family day when I was a kid. Turned out it was not family day... they used child labor. I was aghast. When some local historical society was calling for historical information on the mill I sent them the study my father had comissioned that exposed the child labor. Why? Because the stories of those kids are just as important, if not more so, as my family history is. There is good and bad in every family. I know that slavery is a tough, unprocessed issue for some in America. I‘m just glad that cooper has enough self knowledge to react with distance between him and his ancestor.
