Worthless performance for that reason.
Same thing happened at Elvis's appearance on Sullivan's Shew. But at least The Beatles had some talent and some taste.

I knew a little about them ahead of time through my pen pal in England whose every letter was Beatles this and Beatles that. She also sent me some photos cut out of fan mags.
